چکیده
This paper investigates a problem of passive mitigation vibratory instabilities caused by two unstable modes means single nonlinear energy sink (NES). For this purpose, linear four-degree-of-freedom (DOF) primary structure having (reproducing the typical dynamic behavior friction system) and undergoing, as it is linear, unbounded motions when unstable, coupled to NES. In work, NES involves an essentially cubic restoring force damping force. We are interested in characterizing analytically response regimes resulting from coupling mode To end, suitable rescaling governing equations system which dynamics reduced its modal coordinates, complexification-averaging method applied. The averaged appears be fast-slow with four fast variables slow ones related structure. critical manifold obtained through geometric singular perturbation theory two-dimensional parametric surface (with respect variables) evolves whole six-dimensional variable space. asymptotic analysis reveals that attachment can produce some bounded responses suggests may have simultaneous stable attractors. Numerical simulations complement study, highlighting possible competition between attractors allowing us investigate their basins attraction. each considered situation, good agreement has been observed theoretical results numerical simulations, validates proposed analysis.

Analysis of the Coupled Nonlinear Vibration of a Two-Mass System
This paper presents a fixed-end two-mass system (TMS) with end constraints that permits uncoupled solutions for different masses. The coupled nonlinear models for the present fixed-end TMS were solved using the continuous piecewise linearization method (CPLM) and detailed investigation on the effect of mass-ratio on the TMS response was conducted. The investigations showed that increased mass-r...
متن کاملDynamic Behavior Analysis of a Geometrically Nonlinear Plate Subjected to a Moving Load
In this paper, the nonlinear dynamical behavior of an isotropic rectangular plate, simply supported on all edges under influence of a moving mass and as well as an equivalent concentrated force is studied. The governing nonlinear coupled PDEs of motion are derived by energy method using Hamilton’s principle based on the large deflection theory in conjuncture with the von-Karman strain-displacem...
متن کاملNonlinear energy harvesting through a multimodal electro-mechanical system
A semi-analytical method is used to illustrate the behavior of a multimodal nonlinear electromechanical system which is under base-excitation. System is considered as piezo-ceramic patches attached to a cantilever beam coupled to a resistive load. The cantilever beam is modeled as a nonlinear Timoshenko beam using Assumed Mode method and equations of motion are derived through Lagrange's equati...
متن کاملa comparison of teachers and supervisors, with respect to teacher efficacy and reflection
supervisors play an undeniable role in training teachers, before starting their professional experience by preparing them, at the initial years of their teaching by checking their work within the proper framework, and later on during their teaching by assessing their progress. but surprisingly, exploring their attributes, professional demands, and qualifications has remained a neglected theme i...
